Rendezvous With Goldunga’s Didi – By Snehadeep Kayet, an International Youth Exchange Participant from GPF India

(Goldunga is a small village located in the suburbs of Kathmandu. Accommodating around three thousand households, its population is estimated to be sixteen thousand. From Brahmins, Chhetris, Newars, Tamangs to the Dalits, it is home to many Nepalese indigenous tribes. Youth For Peace India team conducted an awareness drive on human trafficking and menstrual hygiene among the women forum of this village. Faith Leaders Agree to Work Together to Mitigate Identity-Based Conflict at India Leadership Conference

On December 9th and 10th, 2014, the Global Peace Foundation-India, in collaboration with the Interfaith Foundation India and Institute of Advanced Studies in Education  Deemed University held a two-day Global Peace Leadership Conference at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, India. The conference theme was “Peace and Harmony through Interfaith Partnerships.”

Over 330 participants from many regions across India as well as from Iran, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, U.S.A., and Nepal were invited to work together around the vision of “One Family Under God”
